Dr. Humphrey Agevi serves as the Director, Program Development and Delivery at the Africa Research and Impact Network (ARIN). Additionally, Agevi supports ARIN Press by contributing to the design, execution, writing, and dissemination of high-quality research findings through various mediums such as research papers, journal articles, reports, and policy briefs. His research interests primarily revolve around biodiversity and climate change, with a particular focus on nature-based solutions (NbS), socio-ecological resilience, climate adaptation metrics, and biodiversity assessment. He has contributed to the implementation of the FCDO project on Assessing the Effectiveness of Adaptation Interventions in East Africa and is currently coordinating an IDRC funded project on Leveraging Articificial Intelligence for Climate Resilience Solutions in Africa.
In addition, he is coordinating the development of the State of Adaptation Report (SOAR-2005) He is an expert reviewer of the IPCC 7th Edition Assessment Report (AR7) and the UNEP GEO-7 Global Environmental Outlook Report. He is a key member of the Kenya Ecosystem Services Partnership (ESP), a national network that contributes to the enhancement of science, policy, and practice related to ecosystem services for conservation and sustainable development. Furthermore, he is affiliated with prestigious organizations such as the African Forest Forum (AFF), the British Ecological Society (BES), the Ecological Society of Eastern Africa (ECSEA), and the Society for Conservation GIS (SCGIS).
