Nathalie Pettorelli

Nathalie possesses expertise in climate change ecology, biodiversity monitoring, and environmental management. She has published >200 peer-reviewed articles on issues related to population and ecosystem dynamics, remote sensing, wildlife status assessment, species reintroduction and ecosystem restoration, and nature-based solutions. She has experience working in a variety of socio-ecological systems, and is interested in science to policy interactions, being for example part of the biodiversity expert panel of the UK’s Department for Environment

 Food & Rural Affairs. Nathalie is the Editor in Chief for Remote Sensing in Ecology and Conservation, a member of the IUCN mangrove specialist group, the co-chair of the IUCN working group  on rewilding, a member of the Office for Environmental Protection College of Experts, and a UK representative on the Programmes Board of the intergovernmental Group on Earth Observations. In 2011, Nathalie co-founded Soapbox-Science, a global science communication initiative promoting women in science. At BioCAM4, Nathalie is a co-PI and leads policy guidance (Work Package 3) and oversees the project’s dissemination plan (WP4).
